Use JavaScript and AJAX to develop and program interactive websites.
Topics include JavaScript basics, variables, arrays, control structures,
functions, Document Object Model (DOM), events, forms and cookies;
AJAX basics, using text, XML, Web forms and advanced JavaScript and advanced AJAX.
Lecture 2 hours; Laboratory 2 hours

Computer Science 553 and Experience with Windows.

CS-555 will use online material for references and resources.
- Grading

A: 90% B: 80% C: 70% D: 60% F: <60%
Students are expected to do their own work on all assignments and examinations.
Any student who violates this rule may be given a failing grade.

Attendance is required, and worth 5 points for each lecture and each lab, for a total of 150 points. If you have more than one unexcused absence before census date, you will be excluded. After census date, students are responsible for dropping the course. I will not drop you.
- Assignments
-
Assignments are due by the beginning of the lecture. 20 points will be deducted each week a homework assignment is late. No assignments will be accepted more than two weeks late. No assignments will be accepted after the last lecture.
- Midterms/Final exam
-
No makeup tests will be given for missed midterms or final exam.
